National Policy programs two podcasts

National Policy Programs (NPP) mission is to turn every person into a 'Policy wonk'.

Definition of a policy wonk is:

POLICY WONK

NORTH AMERICAN

INFORMAL

  1. a person who takes an enthusiastic or excessive interest in minor details of political policy.
  2. "she is a policy wonk in tune with a younger generation of voters"

NPP wants people to understand and appreciate how devoting attention to policy details, its frameworks and methodologies, its way of thinking can help deliver better public policy decisions and improve life for all of us.

To help expand the population of 'policy wonks' , NPP has produced two podcasts offered free of charge to everyone.

1. Government Policy Articulated

Government Reports, Royal Commissions, Special Inquiries and Parliamentary Inquiries report on the great issues of the day such as the COVID-19 contaminated cruise ship, the Ruby Princess, the fatal decision to use contractors for security in hotel quarantine, the 2019/20 Bushfires and many more. But these reports are long and very few people read them. Randal Stewart reads and articulates public reports for you to listen to while multi-tasking.

Government Reports, Royal Commissions, Special Inquiries and Parliamentary Inquiries are not Government policy as they can be ignored by the executive government, but they have lessons to teach all those interested in public policy and government decision making. Public Reports open up government policy, name names, and provide a narrative accounts of jow and why policy went well or badly.

This is a podcast for those who desire to get the information in public reports but may be too busy to read them or simply want to do other things while accessing the information.
